Barbara was formerly executive vice president of National City Bank of Louisville, Kentucky, U.S.A., until October 1996 when the she left the bank to dedicate herself full time to painting. She was in charge of retail banking and small business lending for a bank with $7 billion in assets.
She lived in Latin America (Colombia and Bolivia) from 1997 to 2002. She currently resides in Salt Lake City, Utah.
